Our Story
Baringo Tours was founded by Bashir Mohamed and Abwel Philip as youth led organization in the year 2019 whose objective was to build a tour and information company that benefits both the travelers and the youths in the community for sustainable tourism and nature conservation in lake Baringo and Baringo County at large.
Being a community-led youth organization, Baringo Tours ensures sustainable tourism prioritizes local communities in planning, development, and operation of tourism initiatives, ensuring benefits are shared equitably among its members and environmental and cultural resources are protected.
Throughout this journey Baringo Tours has partnered with over 200 hotels in Kenya, has 50 members and served thousands of travelers, students and visitors in Baringo and Kenya at large.
Baringo Tours is a membership organization and derives its strength from the support of members to support sustainable tourism and nature conservation in Baringo, Kenya.
With your membership support, we will be able to help communities to conserve sites and species while bettering their lives, influence environmental policy, monitor the status of biodiversity in Baringo County and provide informational Publications.
